How long is my prescription valid for?

A medical prescription for laboratory tests is valid for 2 months from the date of issue. Your doctor can extend a prescription for up to 6 months. Expired prescriptions are not reimbursed by the CNS. However, you can pay the costs yourself or submit a valid prescription within 48 hours for the costs to be endorsed by the CNS.
